WRG Rebrands and Launches New Website and Organizational Structure

Building on 37 years of success, WRG looks to future with new corporate identity

WRG (Wirt-Rivette Group) is pleased to announce the launch of a new corporate identity, website, and organizational structure that better encompasses the firm’s operations, investments, and growth strategy. Since its founding in 1984, the organization has grown through several brand chapters that have included Wirt Leasing, Wirt Financial Services, The Wirt-Rivette Group, and now, WRG. The new corporate identity and branding is reflective of the company’s growth which includes new partners in addition to foundational partners Steve and Dena Wirt and Clarence and Dr. Sara Rivette.

In addition to an updated brand and corporate identity, WRG has implemented a new organizational structure of three core divisions that more accurately represents the activities of the firm: WRG Development, WRG Senior Living, and WRG Finance Solutions.

WRG Development: From concept, to capital, to construction, WRG Development is a trusted real estate development partner and investor that provides the vision, capital solutions, and execution expertise to create outstanding spaces. WRG’s over 100-million-dollar development portfolio includes a diverse mix of medical, industrial, commercial/retail, senior living, and luxury residential.

WRG Senior Living: founded in 2014, WRG Senior Living has rapidly grown to include 6 senior living campuses throughout Michigan and over 350 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units with a portfolio valuation of over $50 million. WRG continues to identify and structure new senior living investments and developments and provides ongoing operational management services, leading over 200 dedicated employees. WRG is proud to partner in several of these communities with major health systems including Covenant HealthCare, Sparrow Health System, and Marlette Regional Hospital.

WRG Finance Solutions: Since 1984, WRG has provided custom finance solutions for business clients which include equipment leasing, property financing, asset-based loans, real estate bridge loans, and other flexible lending products. WRG leverages private investor capital as well as warehouse credit facilities with partnering financial institutions to provide clients efficient access to the funding they need to grow their business. WRG proudly originates, underwrites, and services all transactions in-house, providing clients with unmatched, personalized service.

WRG’s cross-functional finance, accounting, and client service department provides the foundational support required to manage WRG’s three divisions. These activities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax management, insurance management, investor relations, and property management for over 70 LLC’s and affiliate companies.

Wirt-Rivette Group (WRG) Senior Living Announces New Developments Breaking Ground in 2021

Wirt-Rivette Group (WRG) Senior Living is pleased to announce two new developments breaking ground this spring in Caledonia, MI and Marlette, MI. These projects total over 100,000 square feet in new construction and represent a combined investment of $23 million dollars to provide high quality, safe, and supportive living options to seniors in Michigan. WRG Senior Living’s continued expansion and new projects indicate that the industry overall is moving towards COVID-19 recovery and still demonstrates strong growth fundamentals based on population trends and the growing desire for seniors to comfortable age-in-place.

WRG President Clarence Rivette commented, “2020 represented the most challenging year on record for the senior living industry, and this was certainly true for our communities. We were humbled by the courage and compassion of our staff and are thankful for the resiliency of our residents and their families who were unable to see one another for so many months. We are grateful that our staff and residents have been vaccinated and that cases continue to decline so that we can look to the future and continue developing and managing premier senior communities throughout Michigan.”

One of these new developments is Legacies Village in Caledonia, MI, a new senior independent living and retirement community located at 6001 100th St. SE, Caledonia, Mich. The community is designed for an active senior lifestyle filled with recreation and social opportunity, while also providing support services and amenities to allow residents to comfortably age in place.

Legacies Village offers a variety of floorplans to meet different senior lifestyles including spacious standalone villas with attached garages as well as apartments conveniently attached to dining and community center facilities. The community will offer gourmet dining options, a robust activity calendar, housekeeping and laundry services, transportation services, a fitness center, and much more! Construction is slated for completion in Spring 2022 and reservation applications are currently being accepted.

WRG’s other senior living development underway is The Heartlands located in Marlette, MI. WRG Senior Living is proud to be providing development services and consulting to Marlette Regional Hospital which will own and operate the non-profit senior living community developed on a former golf course conveniently located across from the main hospital campus. The nearly 60,000 square foot community will offer 20 assisted living apartments, 12 memory care apartments, 20 independent living villas, and a spacious community center. The Heartlands, one of the largest construction projects in nearly a decade in Michigan’s Thumb region, will open in Spring 2022.

With the completion of these new projects, WRG Senior Living’s assets will include over 300 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units in 6 campuses throughout Michigan. WRG Senior Living also provides operational management services to 4 of these campuses, leading close to 200 dedicated employees and ensuring the highest quality care and services to our residents.

WRG Build to Suit for Department of Veterans Affairs in Traverse City, MI

WRG is proud to have recently developed a veteran counseling center in Traverse City, MI for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
 
The 4,500 square foot, $2 million dollar facility is a community-based counseling center that provides a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members and their families.
The readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, marriage and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.
 
Jaime Wenzlick, Director of the Vet Center commented, “Transitioning to a new Vet Center seemed like an overwhelming task. We had a specific vision in mind to provide our Veterans with an inviting and respectful environment. WRG was so accommodating and gracious during the entire process. We were concerned due to Covid-19 that there would be significant delays in design and construction. They made everything happen and we were able to move in, ahead of schedule. As we get comfortable in the building and complete our transition, WRG has been available to address anything that has come up. The most amazing response comes from our clients, the Veterans. When they walk into their new Vet Center, they are immediately taken back by its comfort, warmth and beauty. We have been so impressed with WRG. We owe them a huge thank you for making our service to Veterans seamless and uninterrupted.”

Construction Begins on Senior Independent Living & Retirement Community in Caledonia

Construction is underway for Legacies Village, a new senior independent living and retirement community located at 6001 100th St. SE, Caledonia, Mich. Legacies Village is affiliated with nearby Legacies of Caledonia Assisted Living and Memory Care, thus providing Caledonia’s seniors continuum of care housing solutions for all of life’s stages conveniently close to home.

The new community is the fifth in the state for Michigan-based developer and operator WRG Senior Living, and is being constructed by CD Barnes Construction whose partner Todd G. Oosting is a long time Caledonia resident. Legacies Village is a joint venture between WRG Senior Living, CD Barnes Construction, and The LaCati Group. Other stakeholders in the project include architect Ken Watkins of Architectural Concepts of Grand Rapids, and financing partner United Bank in Caledonia, MI. The development represents a $10 million dollar investment in Caledonia and is expected to create up to 10 new jobs for the area.
